  The pointy bit is a bit too transparent for a pteropod. Plus, the category does not exist in the California dataset, does it?

  Actually, they seem to be just unexpected occupants since I've collected over 230 images of Pteropods in the Calif.data set already.

  Indeed, the "wings" will be somewhat transparent. But the shell (the pointy part) should appear quite opaque.

  Look how transparent they can appear: APK00005l2 or APK00017q7 or APK0006ebl and perhaps APK0002749
