My gues larvacean, but looking got advice on best way to decipher

This is a tough one as the bigger part of the critter is behind the image margin and so it is not visible. When you look at the neighbouring frame (which is not available for us during the classification), you can see it is actually a Rocket-ship, and the visible part is just the 'head' part of it: APK0007i83

As for Cestidae vs. Larvaceans... Cestidae appear much bigger in comparison to larvaceans. You can see some of them here: CPKS0000j7
Also, look at our Field Guide which shows pictures of each category, used from the same data set you classify: https://www.planktonportal.org/#/science/field-guide It is very helpful - you can have it open in another browser tab while classifying 😃
