does anyone know what that round, spiky-looking thing might be?
It is a good question. This beautiful guy is a #Phaeodaria (a #Protist). There are many different looking Protists present in the data set. They can vary in shapes and size, depends on the species. Some appear single, some form colonies, like Radiolarian ones. We don't classify any Protists except some Radiolarians for this project. So you can ignore them.
Thanks for participating! Enjoy it 😉

I think we were said that this one could be #Aulosphaera sp. of Phaeodaria
