round body with dark outline and dark spot in the center?

does anyone know what these guys are? at first i thought they might be one of the "round, no tentacles" type, but they don't seem to fit. when bunched up they kind of look like radiolarian colonies, but most of the time i see them individually.

these round guys are #protists. they occur in colonies or singly. phylum #radiolaria belongs among #protist, that's why they look similar:)
but don't worry, we don't classify #protists in this project (except the #radiolarian #colonies of course:)Posted
